In Chalsa, Alipur Duar, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee convened a meeting with church leaders to assess the aftermath of the cyclone. Addressing the gathering, Mamata Banerjee remarked, "The names of those whose houses were destroyed in the cyclone have been given in the housing table, but after speaking to the Centre, our throats went dry." The meeting aimed to strategize on effective relief measures for the affected communities in the wake of the cyclone's devastation.
